These characteristics are also the reason behind cork's success as an acoustic insulation.

Cork Underlayment Sheets Installation
We recommend using Duvall Cork Underlayment Adhesive. This Cork Underlayment Adhesive covers up to 100-120 sq. ft. per Gallon. Attaching the cork underlayment sheets to the subfloor with this adhesive is only necessary if you plan on attaching the flooring above the cork underlayment to the cork underlayment. Determining this depends on what type of flooring you choose. For example, floating flooring would be laid on top of the cork underlayment sheets and would not need to be attached but ceramic tile would need to be attached to the cork sheets.
